
Desmond Amankwah, IDipNEBOSH, MIIRSM, Msc.(Env.Eng),Bsc. (Nat.Res Mgt), Cert BA(CIMA). Consultant/Project Manager
Desmond Amankwah is an expert in International Financial Corporation (IFC) Design for Greater Efficiency (DfGE). He holds a MEng. in Environmental Science from Tongji University, China and a MSc in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development from United Nations Environmental Program-Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development from the same University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
He has an International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH, UK and is also a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, UK. He also holds a certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. Desmond Amankwah has about fifteen (15) years working experience in construction and environmental engineering projects in Ghana and in China. In Shanghai he has worked with two major environmental engineering companies, namely i.e., Seer Environment and Energy Company and the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange as a researcher.
He has conducted and undertaken several environmental impact assessments and writing of impact statement to Environmental Protection Agency, Ghana for issuance of Environmental permit for many projects and real estate developments such as Alphabet City Project, Vista Del Mare, University of Environment and Sustainable Development, Somanya etc.
He has conducted several health and safety toolbox trainings,risk assessment and specific trainings to several companies in Ghana such as Contracta, Sumatra Ghana Limited, K3 Aluminium Products Limited, CRS Impianti Srl, Barbisortti and Sons Limited.
He has worked as a Health and Safety Engineer and supervised the safe execution of major turnkey construction projects in Ghana such as:
- Construction of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (Somanya) Phase I & Phase II (October 2017-September 2019 & March 2022 to March 2023)
- Construction and Retooling of Four (4) Eastern Regional Hospitals) i.e KOM- Aburi Presbyterian Hospital, Atibie Government Hospital, Kibi Government Hospital, Tetteh Quarshie Government Hospital (September 2019- January 2022)
- Construction of the Sports Infrastructure for the Africa Games (SIAG) Project in Borteyman, Ghana (June 2023-March 2024)
